Fitbit Charge 6

UX/UI + Branding
Client: Fitbit by Google

Overview
Fitbit's Charge 6, released in Fall 2023, is a fusion of Fitbit's established wellness expertise and Google's smart capabilities. This integration presented a unique design challenge: crafting a visually striking product page that resonated with both loyal Fitbit users and Google-enticed newcomers, all within the constraints of Fitbit's existing website modules.

Challenge
Striking the perfect balance between familiarity and fresh appeal was key. We needed to retain the essence of the Fitbit brand, while injecting the visual elements associated with Google. Additionally, the limitations of the pre-built website modules demanded innovative solutions to achieve our vision.

Solution
Material Design, Google's open-source design system, became our guiding light. We strategically utilized Google's color system, creating a visually engaging contrast that met all accessibility requirements. Furthermore, we incorporated playful Google-inspired shapes into image masks and color blocks, subtly nodding to the partnership without clashing with Fitbit's established design language.

Results
The Charge 6 product page launch was a resounding success. We successfully attracted both brand loyalists and Google devotees, demonstrating the effectiveness of our balanced design approach.

My Role
As the visual designer spearheading this project, I delved into Material Design, extracting its core principles and translating them into a Fitbit-infused language. I meticulously crafted a visual narrative that captured the essence of both brands, contributing to the product page success.
